March 6, 2024 - Darker color and carmelized nose and palate which initially had me thinking of the spit bucket but it actually came together nicely in the glass and showed a real sucrosity and depth of mature flavors like caramel, honey, clove and butterscotch. This bottle, at least, suggests drinking a few years ago for my palate. 89-

April 20, 2021 - WOTN incontestably was the 1990 Comtes Lafon Genevrieres. We were blinded on the vintage, I guessed ‘89. What magical place this wine was in. Stunningly complex, perfectly mature and ultra generous both on the nose and the palate with its nutty & honeyed aromas and layer upon layer of flavors. A reminder to us all how good aged white Burgundy can be when it’s on.
