March 27, 2010 - Remains bright; soured cherries, stalky edge has this seen some old oak; drying out, has substance & weight, serious where exhuberance, preferable, grippy; will age but little potential improvement apparent. Better with food.

    June 6, 2009 - Preface - I'm not a great Dolcetto fan.

Rich dark purple colour, quite bright.

Not a great nose, slightly green, with a hint of almonds and sour edged fruit.

Better on the palate, with decent depth of bright fruit, nettles, almonds and a very grippy finish (which for me throws it's balance). Acidity is as refreshing as you'd expect. It's certainly not a bad wine and more interesting than most Dolcettos. No great complexity - just a decent food-friendly wine and I can appreciate it for that.

October 16, 2008 - Crisp sour cherry fruit. Excellent food wine.

September 29, 2008 - Nice simple fruit, balanced, light in the mouth, with a brightness from the grape's naturally high acidity. Clean, correct table wine. Drink.

July 7, 2008 - decanted it took about 45 minutes to open up, dark purple color, black berries, goes well with food but it was very good after dinner
