February 24, 2017 - David Pope's 60th (Medlar, London): Mid gold. Slightly cheesy, Ampeau-esque nose. It opens up and cleans up though, and there's a hint of depth here. Rounded with a touch of honey on the finish. A pleasant drink, but not really Montrachet, but after a couple of hours this has filled out further, become far more complex and interesting with more floral aromas and flavours, warm butter and some mineral grip. Really quite attractive. ****

April 29, 2005 - A nice surprise since this bottle was performing very well, especially paired with a great lobster soup. the nose was a bit off at first but it developed well in the glass afterwards. The palate was superb and the finish adequately long. Not necessarily up to the standards of the appelation but a good wine anyway.

7/1/2005 (link)(Remoissenet Père et Fils Le Montrachet) Golden. Real depth on the nose, but initially it's a little diffuse - certainly vs the two Domaine Leflaive wines, hints of butterscotch. Where this wine excels is in it's length, certainly longer than the Leflaive wines, but without their overall class and texture. Still a fantastic wine by ordinary measures.
