July 16, 2023 - Exquisite sample of BdB. Very enjoyable already and will gain with the time.

NOSE: light; "fresh"; briney, like fresh oysters (call this "sea spray," if you want); Fuji apple; fresh baguette.

BODY: active bead; light bodied; frothy mouthfeel.

TASTE: hmmmmm ... interesting ... there's a powdery hard candy aspect to this -- Smarties?; quite light; minerally; on the austere end of the spectrum; surprising and pleasant black cherry note; apple and a hint of lemon; marzipan. This is quite complex, on account of its ever-changing nature --- as soon as I think I have this nailed-down, it moves on me. Marzipan bread; high acidity; I think this needs a couple years to calm down and flesh-out --- it's pretty aggressive right now, even for someone like me, who actually enjoys this style. This was raised 2/3 in concrete, and 1/3 in oak. Fruit is from vines 50+ years of age. Will probably re-buy to see if a couple years brings it places -- if it doesn't, then I'll be done after that. Gut impression score: suspected to be excellent.

February 22, 2023 - BdB from a .59 hectare plot in Chouilly, disgorged after 6 years in bottle July 2021 with 2 g/l dosage. Vinified 67% in concrete vats and 33% in oak. Initially it’s full on lemon curd acid on the front with a little sweet fruit hiding underneath. After some air, the acid falls to a level where it plays with the sweet pear and bit of creamy texture nicely. This is certainly young but definitely has really good upside potential

November 11, 2022 - Sthlm Food & Wine Champagne-tastings (Älvsjömässan, Stockholm): Chalk, creaminess and pleasant acidity, this has opened up very nicely.

July 4, 2022 - Started a little simple with a green apple / pear, some mineraility and really nice fine bubbles. With air, it exploded with some amazing buttery/creamy notes and a dead line of acidity straight through the middle. Could have easily been a 20+ year old champagne. What a beauty.
