April 6, 2024 - Brief note. PNP. Cork perfect. This is dark but not overdone. Can’t help it but the mention of VA by 831900 made it just noticeable. Definitely fresh because of it but a slight flaw in an otherwise very nice wine. Shows the delicacy of Chambolle and long in finish. Was delicious tonight w orange juice marinated salmon and sautéed mushrooms.

April 5, 2024 - I liked the wine. Love Jouans entire portfolio from top to bottom. I just don’t like the picture of the disgusting foot on the picture loaded in to CT.

April 2, 2024 - Perhaps the slightest bit of volatile acidity. Strong hibiscus drink on the nose, intense inkiness in the mouth, and a short finish. I can see why others like it (it is juicy, and fresh-seeming due to the VA) but it's not for me.

February 14, 2024 - Beautiful. Drinking perfectly now. Very classic old-school style burgundy producer. Quite cloudy appearance. Such depth on the nose of spice, sweet sappy red fruit and brilliant fresh early summer herbs.

Opens with soft pure red fruit and gains acidity, tannin and structure as it opens. Really special stuff.

After many hours it truly begins to shine, a warm robe of acid, tannin, pure bright rainier cherry, brown baking spice(s), cardamom, coriander, cinnamon, a Dujac like hit but without the Dujac weight, concentration of beautiful red fruits bursting and evolving by the moment. A bit of red plumb, but certainly anything but blue or dark fruit as many 2020s can be.

Dakine. This was really impressive. Qpr city and glad to have the only stash in Hawaii. Can’t wait for the ‘19 clos st denis gc that’s sleeping happily for many years to come.

Would love to try this in 10, properly stored years, certainly has the stuff to make it that long. That perfect upper gum front lip sticking finish. Perfect pairing with masterfully cooked Flannery rib eye, million year onion, smashed cooker tate and bubuh carrot and kale stuffs. Yes please.

December 18, 2023 - An excellent 20, certainly ripe fruit but well balanced.
