November 4, 2022 - Nice concentrated well balanced. A touch of Old world style to it. I liked it a lot better than the 2018 Malbec I had the same night. Drinks for now and could be aged for the short-term.

June 29, 2022 - The Essa is a blend of 75% Cabernet Franc and 25% Merlot aged in American/French oak. In the glass, deep blood red. The nose screams Rhône. Major garrigue. Dark fruits - think blackberry- vegetal, smoked meat, herbaceous (thyme, oregano, herbes de Provence), pepper, leather. Medium to full body, acid is big and bright, tannins are mouth coating but ease with air, the fruit is more red on the palate.

Slightly restrained, dried crandberries, dried
tart raspberries, strawberries, red licorice,
