November 13, 2021 - Almost perfect, a well matured great Barolo at the end of its peak, secondary and tertiary aromas,

October 11, 2021 - Recent auction purchase. Double decanted because the cork crumbled (should have used an ah-so). While pour contents between the two containers, floral and raspberry aromas come out; forest floor and black tea around Day 2. Tannins dominate the blackberry and plum notes on the palate. Slightly better with mushroom risotto. This was far from the hedonistic experience from about ten years ago.

    July 27, 2021 - Still drinking well

December 11, 2020 - Decanted for four hours. Mature nose of cherry, tar and earth. This is showing early maturity but still has a lot of vigour in it. Bold blacks and red cherry fruit flavors, brambles, earth and tea. There is still noticeable tannin on this and it’s a little unclear whether it will ever be fully tamed. I would probably drink this soon as I don’t think it will get much better but it should easily last for another five to ten years.

July 3, 2020 - This was showing really beautifully in this line-up of high-end Nebbiolo. Aromatic, fresh and pure, with notes of plums, mint, sweet spices, tobacco, leather and smoke. It‘s full-bodied and dense, with high acidity and medium-high tannin that is a touch rustic compared to the best wines of the night. Very good length. This was really shining with the food.
