  January 13, 2024 - Tannins super interesting. Quite present yet also fine. Fruit is dark and not at all jammy. Another comment here mentioned menthol, which I thought was rather odd, but after tasting I totally understood that. Definitely a food wine. Served with short rib ragu on gnocchi.

  October 31, 2023 - This has plenty of time left. I should have paired it with something bigger, but I didn't look at my prior tasting notes when I opened it. I think it would have gone well with a meaty red pasta ragu or something like lamb shanks. But it was very nice.

  March 6, 2023 - Decanted for an hour. Needs food with it (pasta with fennel sausage sauce went well).

  Deep ruby color. Slightly mentholated nose of ripe black cherry. Kinda like ripe Nebbiolo but more jammy. Full body, high tannins (a bit bitter) medium plus acid. Some crazy tannin structure here. Kinda one-note but pretty satisfying structure. It’s a decent fruit note too.
