Community Tasting Notes 12

September 28, 2013 - Much improved from the last time I opened a bottle a couple years ago. Definitely needs to be decanted for at least 30 minutes before drinking. Very tight and acidic if you pop-and-pour. After it gets a chance to breath it really opens up into a delicious, smooth, and lush drink. I think it has improved with age and is drinking very well right now.

October 23, 2011 - Rust coloured, heavy oak on the nose & palate. Drinkable but not impressed.

May 8, 2011 - Medium garnet color. This was a BIG surprise. I poured this basically as a throw away for family that wouldn't know the difference, and the joke was on me. The first time I had this I was not overly impressed. It was average. Today this is really nice with lots of strawberry on the nose, with cherry and spice. The palate has really come together, the tannins are now integrated and this shows nice balance that was not there before plus a nice finish. Well, go figure, everyone loved it. At least I got a glass! This is the same wine as the Sinskey Three Amigos Carneros Pinot Noir and the note is posted there as well.

April 30, 2011 - Medium+ body, heavier than most Pinots. Getting close but could use another couple years in the bottle.

October 22, 2010 - Acidic. Let it breathe for a couple hours, got better. Very good second day.
