December 27, 2022 - 1500m altitude, the nose delivers blueberry and freshly picked blackcurrant with an edge of spice and lightly smoked meats. The entry is crunchy fresh blueberries, white pepper and dark chocolate (100%) with warm gravel and garrigue edges. The texture is grippy, with a coolness to the mid-palate, but the fruit is ripe, clean, juicy, and on point. The challenge is that the acid is quite sharp and lemony at this point, slightly trumping the available fruit and thus finishing somewhat earlier than expected. Still enjoyable but not that complex.
