March 2, 2015 - Very pleasant and balanced with a nice finish. Not too much to write home about; just a nice, simple wine - might be on its downside.

May 14, 2014 - Drunk at Palena on their last night in business. Dinner was disastrous, perhaps that shouldn't be very surprising, but I recall liking this at least. On opening, it actually felt very modernly styled - on the softer side and oaky. However, with air the sharper notes descibed by some others here came through. Pronounced floral tones and some raisin but in no way over the hill. Enjoyable.

November 6, 2013 - Anyone who thinks 98 produced softer, less structured or tannic wines, has not tasted this fabulous bottle from Veglio. Color suggests light-handed treatment with oak, and while wine is still young, it is developing the nose and tastes of a nice, middle-aged Barolo - lighter in weight in terms of fruit, but with a lot of grip and a long finish.

November 24, 2012 - Académie des Cinquante Claret / Piedmont Tasting (Restaurant De Hoefslag *, Bosch en Duin, Netherlands): Very fine, floral, fragrant, elegant, roses, tannic, very good length, lively colour, very pure and precise, well-integrated tannins, lovely Barolo, a beauty in fact.

July 22, 2012 - Much better than the previous bottle. Black fruit, slightly dusty, hint of tar, floral topnotes, good depth; slender, very tannic, good energy but rather dry, old-fashioned; good length. Good but not great, it might well end up drying out.
