April 7, 2024 - Color- very deep red/purple. Without haziness
Nose- dark red fruit. Plum and cherry
Palate- good acidity. Prominent but pleasing tannins. Oak, cherry, black current. Faint raspberry. But, overall, a bit short.
Tasted after a 2 hour decant. It was very good with rack of lamb and couscous. Enough tannin to deserve a couple more years of age to see if it matures a bit more. However, even at this price point, it might be smarter to look at a 5-6 year old Bordeaux, that could probably provide a lot more complexity. -
