September 23, 2021 - Peachy aromatics signaling quite advanced. Finishes bitter.

July 3, 2020 - A really good bottle of Rav from an off vintage. Sea shells, iodine, lemon, honeycomb. Got better with air and as it warmed up from the cellar. The wood is gone and the acid is still there revealing a really well balanced and delicious wine. Have had this twice now and both bottles outperformed.

July 14, 2019 - Rich and forward to start off with minerals, white peach and ripe yellow fruit. The color of the wine suggested the wine was advanced With aeration, the acidity creeped back out and slimmed up some of the baby fat.

December 8, 2018 - Fourteenth Annual White Truffle Dinner (Chez Weber - Chicago IL): Served (somewhat) blind, with us able to see the bottle was from Raveneau. Clearly seemed older and from a ripe vintage with some caramel apple. fleshy start, then more nuanced notes and mineral textures from middle forward. Good+ density. A very good 1997.

March 31, 2017 - High acid, a hint of sea shore, some spice, intense, but a tad short.
