Community Tasting Notes 24

April 1, 2024 - More on the red wine side of the spectrum, this is all fresh strawberries, but with a tinge of vegetal and bitter notes, like rhubarb and bay leaf. Ernestas on CT is right on with the notes: “herbal in fused red fruit flavours, candied and vegetal hints, touch of pleasant bitterness, medium acidity, mellow grip of tannins.” I liked this and would buy it again.

January 16, 2024 - Good, yet not very 'special'.
Paired it with Ottolenghi's Orzo Puttanesca.

October 15, 2023 - Rich and unique rose from iconic Cornelissen vineyards. Made from a blend of Malvasia, Moscadella, Cattaratto, Nerello Mascalese, aged in neutral epoxy tanks. Darker than most roses of medium garnet colour. Medium intensity aroma of strawberries, rhubarb, cherries, rose petals, graphite, bay leaf. Medium body, tangy and nervous structure, full of energy and vibrancy, herbal infused red fruit flavours, candied and vegetal hints, touch of pleasant bitterness, medium acidity, mellow grip of tannins.

August 27, 2023 - Always enjoy this wine. I consider it more of a light bodied red than a rosato. Refreshing and well balanced with the acidity to pair well with pasta and marinara made with fresh roasted plum tomatoes

July 4, 2023 - More freshness and better balance when compared to previous bottle.
