September 6, 2020 - Perfect expression of dark, ripe fruit, leather, and soul.

June 11, 2018 - This was my first Palmaz wine. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and taste. It had a very different bouquet than what I expected. It was difficult to discern the aromas. The wine was very dark and very dense. On the nose, I got some black fruit, maybe blackberry, black plum. I detected some tobacco, hints of mocha, maybe espresso, a little slate and a bit of menthol. The texture was smooth and silky. I tasted most of what my nose led me to expect. I was anticipating more forward fruit but got earth tones and some minerals instead. The fruit was there but not on the front of the palate. There was a nice, rather lengthy finish. Although it was difficult to describe the taste and aromas of this wine, it did not disappoint. It was quite interesting, both unique and complex. Very well balanced and elegant. It is possibly in its best place right now and could possibly be starting on its decline. All in all, a very nice wine. Without any reservation, I would rate it a solid 94 points.
The wine looks inky colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, black currant (cassis), mineral, stoniness and tobacco.

May 6, 2017 - Very dark red/ruby color, full body, rich jammy, blackberry/blueberry flavor, soft tannins. Dropping sediment, so decanting is good, but does not need much time to breathe. Excellent.

May 10, 2014 - from magnum. needed about 45 minutes of air before it settled into a nice place. A bit muted, but very nice

June 5, 2013 - Drinking very well now and for several more years. Slightly fruit forward but definitely not over the top.
