  February 21, 2012 - This wine has a dark fruit aroma and feels forward. It has a lingering rich blend with slight finish and full tannin. With more aeration the finish opens more to a slight powder. The wine could use a little more distinction for the price. It is a serious effort but falls short.

  July 9, 2011 - We've been drinking this for years; and it never disappoints. Excellent with Italian food (pasta with red sauce). Also, nice with other meat dishes.

  January 12, 2011 - Medium dark red color. Nose is nice, mild earth, toasty oak, black cherry, scortched earth, leather. The palate is medium bodied, fine tannins, decent acidity, cherry, spice, mineral. medium finish. Nice everyday wine and a decent restaurant value generally. I would probably not let these sit longer.

  September 19, 2010 - What a difference a year or two makes with this wine! Upon release it seemed drastically over oaked but now it has settled down and is smooth and elegant. Nice!
