Community Tasting Notes 8

January 8, 2024 - A Roussanne/Chard blend that was a gift from H. Wears its unfiltered status proudly by showing cloudy in the glass. Delicious. Restrained nose, but alive on the palate with grapefruit, melon, Meyer lemon and tropical notes. Expected this to be more viscous due to the 70% Roussanne. But it’s electric, bright and perfect with tonight’s scampi. For immediate enjoyment. Worth Seeking Out.

April 6, 2023 - Pale yellow, a touch cloudy due to being unfiltered.

Primary aromas of ripe red and yellow apple, peach, grapefruit, and pear. Pronounced gravelly minerality, hints of salt, and a touch of oak (likely mostly old oak or large barrels).

Palate is bigger and less acidic that nose suggests but is still balanced. Finish is very long. Overall a very tasty wine for the money that will pair with food or drink nicely by itself.

December 4, 2022 - This is exactly what Pete & Tom Stolpman said it was designed to be. Perfect accompaniment to fresh fish, especially sushi. Nice blend of Roussanne and Chardonnay 70/30, unfiltered, still cloudy, enjoyable fruit with honeydew notes, and nice light acid finish. Yes it is not complex, its a white wine for sushi lovers.

My initial note was a bit hasty, the nose does come to give off a nice melon and honeysuckle note. On the palette the wine flows across with balance only being detracted by a small hole in the middle and a bit of a spikey / sweet acid note on the finish, which is a bit short.
