April 20, 2024 - CellarTracker says I don’t have any of these in my cellar, so I must therefore conclude that the cellar fairy blessed me with a divine gift (that, or I drunkenly removed the wrong Rioja Alta at some point, but I believe the cellar fairy is more probable).
Tasting note same as before… same shredded cork & leather, oak & tobacco delights within. Guessing this has 1-2yrs of peak time left, but no reason not to drink ‘em if ya got ‘em at this point.1 person found this helpful Comment -

December 19, 2023 - Decanted for 2 hours. Vina Ardanza is always one of my favourite wines, but I’ve not had a mature vintage like this for a while. This is in a perfect spot right now. Just the right level of oak to balance the remaining fruit. Medium bodied and elegant.
