Community Tasting Notes 11

December 20, 2022 - This wine is still in the game. Nose of berries/cherries. Fully integrated flavor profile driven by plum and followed by fig (as noted in other TNs), gentle tannins, while light on structure it wasn't jammy.

November 15, 2014 - Dense center with bright red edge. Black fruit opening to red fruit aroma and flavors after 1-2 hours of air. Well integrated tannins with modest remaining oak. Plum and red currant at the finish. Needs air time after opening... steadily improves over 2+ hour drinking time. Would rate higher if just a bit more structure....

October 25, 2008 - still drinking remarkably well

July 4, 2007 - Enjoyed this beyond my expectations. At first it seemed a little weak, but after about half an hour decant it was showing some pleasant black fruit, fig, and plum on the nose, and plum in the mouth. It shifted noticeably toward a cherry profile after another hour or so. Over the course of the evening, the fruit characters always retained real purity and balance. Tannins are integrated by now, and I barely noticed any hint of oak that seemed to have bothered others. Ready to drink now.

March 25, 2007 - Fans of hard, tannic, oaky wines may like this, but it's not for me. Astringent tannins and nutty oak make this undrinkable to me.
