September 5, 2022 - Atkin 95+ Tasting Event (and dinner wines) (Strauss Auction, Cape Town (and Jo'burg)): (Tasted Blind): Wine: Rall Noa 2021 Chenin Blanc. Delicate notes of toast, lime peel and Bosq pear on the nose. The palate reveals juicy flavours of pear and apple, with a notable depth and concentration. A fennel and sea salt quality adds an intriguing lift whilst the wine has a sturdy phenolic grip and strident acidity that give texture and depth along with pear skins (like semi-dried Cretian pears). A layered wine with well-adjudged extract the wine is penetrating with a long and edgy mineral finish. Closes with fresh apple skins and a pear core sensation. Excellent wine!
