  February 25, 2024 - Similar to previous note but the wine has a very bitter tannic finish, food helped it, light fruit and color, not sure if time will help the tannin dissipate, a disappointment in that it a an expensive bottle, WA review a bit over the top, last bottle but won't seek out other vintages, Mencia has potential, drank with clams with chorizo and butter beans and iberico pork skirt steak with paprika potatoes.s

  October 8, 2023 - I like this wine a lot. It's a Bierzo, so I presume it has a lot of Mencia, but it's far less rustic than the many Bierzos we've enjoyed over the years. For me, the three most prominent characteristics are dehydrated raspberry, flowers/floral, and a bit of bramble. The medium weight and soft tannins appeal. I think age will be kind to this, as it would a Nebbiolo. Drink now until 2030. Great value @ $45 for my taste preferences.

  September 30, 2023 - Light red color, 14.1%abv, good fruit, interesting flavors, medium body drinks light, drank with paella, wine is still young, have another bottle, a complex wine that needs to be appreciated, we did not pay enough attention to it as we drank it after a Brunello and several bottles of Champage.
