November 29, 2023 - Thanksgiving 2023 (Dogwood Grove/Rock Spring, Virginia): A very pleasant wine that toes the line between a classic, acidic Northern Italian wine and a sweeter Riesling – compare to a slightly underripe white peach. Golden color. The nose suggests sweetness, with elements of honey and candied peaches, but the flavor profile is a bit more bitter with stone fruits and white pepper spice. Popular at the dinner table.

January 28, 2023 - Tropical fruit, especially lychee. Dense, off dry, and balanced. I liked it a lot.

Super-intense rose and lychee just hits you in the face - musky - but it's not at all heavy, it has a nervous sherbety palate and then just the most intensely wet river-pebble minerality on the finish - something I really don't associate with gewurz. Some might find it too much towards "air freshener" but I think it's on the right side of the line.
