  March 23, 2024 - Medium intensity nose with aromas of dark earth, venison, under-ripe red fruit - cherry and cranberry, and hints of smoke. On the palate - medium acid and tannin, medium+ intensity, medium body, 13.5% abv with flavors of rusty earth, venison, and tart red fruit with a medium finish. Dominated by non-fruit characteristics - earth, wild game, and minerals.

  November 21, 2022 - The Fifth Annual Blind Tasting of American Pinot Noir: There is little doubt in my mind that this wine was heavily impacted by smoke taint. Two bottles, both the same, both close to undrinkable.

  October 1, 2022 - Dark red. Plum, smoke, dark and fulbodied. Little gamey, quite long. Nice.
