April 2, 2024 - Didn't take great notes. Overpriced and better options at the price point but still tasty. Lightly floral nose with red fruit and leather. Medium in body and slightly tannic. Notes of cherry and orange with a medium finish. A bit fuller in the mouth than expected. Medium acidity.

January 24, 2024 - I have tasted many wines from Sicily and I've liked every one. The 2020 Idda Etna Rosso is a very smooth pour. It is 100% Nerello Mascalese and has a very Burgundian nose. I sipped it over a three evening period, and I found it very enjoyable. It has hints of Cherry and a bit of leather. The price tag is what concerns me. I suspect that the Gaja name doubled the price of this wine. Is it worth $70 a bottle? $35 would be more realistic.

December 6, 2023 - Not quite as good as the previous one I had (2019 I think) but still a very good wine. Paired quite well with a lean Bison rib-eye + bacon fat grilled asparagus

November 12, 2023 - aromatic, cherry skins, some potpourri. Got a jammy richness to the palate but overall quite light. Opened up with a bit of air, filled out and was more round. There was a streak of purple meatiness that slid across the palate that made me keep going back for more
