Community Tasting Notes 6

April 13, 2024 - This is the best young Paleo I’ve had. Milk chocolate, black tea, bitter greens and mineral. As always these need at least 5 years after release to perform.

February 6, 2024 - Exceptional. Drank this wine the first time at La Pineta in Bolgheri (Marina di Bibbona) after visiting Guado al Tasso. Italian Bordeaux, in particular Cabernet Franc. Menthol eucalyptus. Tart black cherry. Heavy graphite. Buy, buy, buy.

August 12, 2023 - Mostly red fruit of fresh strawberry, whipped cream, herbal notes of dried leaves and black pepper. Juicy, well-balanced palate with finely grained tannin and nice acidity. Powerful and full-bodied and juice. Compared to the few older vintages I’ve tasted so far (2001, 2013) this felt lighter and fresher in terms of fruit profile.

June 10, 2023 - This is drinking really great right now. Dark chocolate, green bell pepper, black fruit, and firm but ripe tannin. Paired nicely with lamb chops.

May 31, 2023 - Stunning wine, deep, brooding, dark fruit, blackberry, cassis, spice, long finish, tated at lunch at Enoteca Tognoni in Bolgheri and at Il Latini in Florence, spectacular both times (100% Cabernet Franc)
