September 4, 2018 - We drank our last two bottles. Decanted for over two hours. Great balance with lots of soft fruit, mostly cherry. I got some barbecue sauce with the second bottle. Some leather and wet stone. Wish we had more.

July 11, 2016 - Nose: Cherry(primary), blackberry, cinnamon, leather with a bit of funk, black pepper. Enjoyable overall, with a nice balance of aging fruit notes and earthy goodness.

Taste: Tart dirt, earth, leather, hint of vanilla, cinnamon and sour cherry. Faint blueberry, raspberry fruit leather.

Finish and texture: Hint of a bitter finish, with some tannins remaining. Given the tartness and bitterness of the wine, some aging could be left. I'm not sure if the fruit and sweetness will hold up over time though. This is my last bottle, so I won't be able to find out.
