May 3, 2024 - This was fantastic. I opened a bottle of my half case as I was too excited to wait. I did not decant and drank over two days straight from the bottle.

On the nose you get a ton of fruit; blueberry, blackberry. The wine is complex, the alcohol doesn't overpower to me like many other comments say. I will love to see how this develops over the years. Overall just a fantastic wine still in its infancy.

April 22, 2024 - I love this style of wine, so for me, it is close to perfect. Loads of blue and black fruit, pepper, iron and graphite all rolled up in an inky opaque wrapper. It is a great big wine, but I didn’t catch the heat that other folks have commented on, at least in a bad way. With a couple hour decant and a little time in the glass it melts away.

Drink it now or hold onto it for a decade, either way it will treat you well.

April 12, 2024 - Yes, it does show the heat of the year, by which I mean it is arguably within sight of over-extracted and there are some dried fruit notes, but it's firmly still on the delicious side of that divide, although nobody would confuse it with a Cornas or Hermitage (or CDP). It's got pulsing acidity, tone to contain/channel the ample fruit, and is a bottle I'd happily drink anytime you'd like to pour it.

January 13, 2024 - A true heavyweight with flavors of black licorice, blackberries, Italian espresso and old-fashioned fruit cake. The fruit is so ripe (with 15.2% abv), that it tastes a bit overpowering. Someone could easily mistake it for a 2016 Amarone or even a 2011 Port; all of these are in their infancy. Solid structure, excellent acidity and a very long finish. Give this wine a few years and it may become something even greater than today.
