More open and herbal than the '19. Tar, violet, balsam, savory herbal. Midweighted with some medicine cabinet and good perfume on the back end. Finishes with firm somewhat unripe tannins. Very good very old school austere wine. i would love to try this with some bottle age.
Over dinner opened for several hours, it was the more open and approachable to the two wines. An excellent accompaniment to roasted pork chops. This is very old school and very good. -

November 1, 2022 - My first Boggione Claudio Brunate Barolo 2018, and what a positive surprise. For being vineyard location Brunate, this wine is very affordable, approx. €47 in Sweden. Nice balance, wonderful tannins, roses, tar and red currants. 2018 is perfect now, but will live for many more years.
