September 7, 2011 - This was excellent. I grabbed it as a backup when I noticed the ullage on the 1990 Domaine aux Moines Savennières looked too scary. I needed it. The alcohol is list as 15.3 percent. The wine is full bodied, for sure, but balanced. No alcohol showed. It was definitely Rhonish. Nutty and waxy. Also some honey and maybe the sensation of some other sweetness. Fairly explosive on the attack but the finish tapers quickly. This was a good food wine. I grabbed it because I knew Backroads Bob liked Tablas Creek whites. He thinks it was their best grenache blanc.

January 19, 2011 - A lot of petrol (lanolin?) with lemon on the nose. Full bodied, viscous mouthfeel. Seems like a dry Riesling with high alcohol. Flavor intensity isn't very high at this point. Medium low acidity. Finishes with mild heat. High ABV seems to show a bit, but overall an interesting GB showing that Central Coast petrol character.

April 5, 2010 - I disagree that it's been too long. Drank with sashimi dinner. Wonderfully zippy all around, with a hint of malo coming through. It definitely had a sweet spot in terms of temperature - moderately cold and open for about an hour was how I liked it best. Too high alcohol but that didn't make it a much less pleasurable experience for me.

3/16/2008 (link) 90 points(Tablas Creek Grenache Blanc) Very pale, almost clear, with yellow tint; light but complex nose of vanilla, lemon, hazelnut and mineral nose; marshmallow and lemon palate with subtle richness and good acidity; medium finish 90+ pts. (1/2 in stainless steel, 1/2 in 3 year old foudres)
