December 31, 2022 - The Cork was broken
    over the hill
still much tannin, but no fruit left

June 12, 2021 - The first two hours it was a muted nose, hints of raspberry and sour cherry. On the palette not too busy, strong sour cherry and very light tannins. On the other side of two hours stronger raspberry and red currant and liquorice. The palette came on with cherry, liquorice, and floral notes. The tannins were so smoothe and fine. Almost no bricking, a relatively youthful color.

Overall, surprisingly fruity, a real pleasure.

October 30, 2020 - In a tasting of Barolos from B. Giacosa, G. Mascarello, A. Conterno, G. Conterno, Roagna, Anselma, and more. Very transparent colour, bright red/brown, brilliant. Sweet nose dominated by butter scotch, flowers (not roses, more like jasmin, a bit heavy). Extremely expressive and open. Medium bodied attack in the mouth, first dominated by strawberries and raspberries and a hint of red currant. High acidity combined with very fine-grained tannins. Long aftertaste where the buttery caramel tones reemerge. A beautiful wine, but more Burgundian than Barolo?

July 7, 2019 - PnP. Tobacco, leather, dried roses and liqorice. Textbook nose! Light redfruited berries, sweet and sour palate, delicious mature nebbiolo. Very elegant, not much structure left. Very good at the moment. My last bottle.
