August 30, 2023 - Twisted off the cap and poured a glass which was really tight. Poured back in bottle and served through the plastic Venturi, swirled like heck, and released a decent but not fantastic Cabernet. It is authentic Cabernet for around ten bucks. Air and more swirling are quite rewarding. Very red color that barely allows us to see our two fingers. Violets cherry, alcohol and something astringent on the nose. Decent mid palate. Slightly more than medium bodied. Mostly red fruit especially tart cherry. Refined tannins. The alcohol on the nose seems integrated on the palate. Doesn’t score higher because that initial astringency never reall goes away.
