May 3, 2024 - I found a second bottle of this vintage and, after failing to enjoy the last bottle a few months ago, thought we should try it.
A little more time in bottle (and a few hours after opening) has led to improvement.
Medium dry - not too sweet. It has tropical fruit, acidity, and some apricotty Viognier characteristics. Simple but OK for the low price. -

December 30, 2023 - I have enjoyed a number of earlier vintages but this one didn't impress. Plenty of juicy acidity with peach conserve character, some nectarine and various stone fruit flavours. However, it seemed a bit thin; the texture and flavours didn’t really hang together to make a convincing whole. It didn't work for me (or my wife, independently).
Interestingly, a small amount left in the fridge tasted better after 2 days. Tropical fruits were now prominent with mango taking over. It is inexpensive in UK but I won’t buy more. -

December 27, 2023 - Expressive nose of apricot, citrus, caramel. Fuller mouthfeel, good acidity, lots of fruit. Very good for the price.

April 5, 2023 - Bought Tesco UK £6.00 April 2023
Screw cap seal. Tasted with a medium chill.
N....almost nothing
C.....light gold
T....The boring Nose gives way to a much better wine in the mouth; lovely fruit with gentle tannins; flavours of orange/yellow stone fruit, nectarines, peach (Golden Delicious), apricot; flavours aren't massively long but they're long enough and there's a decent intensity - and that surprised/pleased me in a wine at this price; good acid balance; closer to medium-dry than actually dry; drink up while everything is in balance and it's drinking really well today, and don't bother cellaring because it's neither powerful nor complex enough to be worth it. Nice flavour lilt at the end.
VFM?.....feels worth £10.00, costs just £6.00 so an obvious bargain. Buying the 2022 again.2 people found this helpful Comment
