May 29, 2023 - (SYP) PNP and drunk over 3 hours
Started off with a strong gamey and ripe fruit nose, and then breathed nicely to show sous bois, mint, oolong tea, dried flower and a touch of oak. The tannins were fully resolved. There was a core of dried dates and a feeling of carbonic acid on the palate. It was weightless with racy acidity and good freshness. Fun to drink.

December 24, 2022 - Fruit day. Ripe sweet fruit impression turns resolved cool mintiness. Clean rose aromatics with mellow elegance fitting for the terroir. 94

December 28, 2021 - PnP and opened in the glass. The nose was rather reserved from start to finishing (around 3 hours). Some hint of fruit, wood and game but not obvious. The palate again is quite shy with some oolong tea, wood, smoke and cherry. Medium to full body with some strength, but nothing really stands out as grand cru. Still a nice experience.

December 31, 2020 - Celebratory End of Year Wines; 12/24/2020-12/31/2020 (Home-Where Else??): Gently aerated in bottle for 2 hours. Medium ruby. A blast of oak, then gamy, high char dull red fruit. This is a sappy big boy. Mix of red and blue fruit, some soil, and a twist of blood orange which leads into crackling 1993 acidity. Nothing terribly refined about this, but a strapping, authentic Burgundy that still has a lot in the tank. Fortunately, the wood is more apparent on the nose than the palate.

November 10, 2017 - Exotic spice, really good but suffered from palate fatigue by the time this was served. Would really like to revisit this, and indeed do a vertical of this relatively underrated wine.
