  December 7, 2023 - Medium purple in color; ripe blackberries, plums, and vanilla the nose; medium plus acidity; medium tannins; tastes like black cherries, blackberries, and clay pots with a long finish.  A hint of violets too, I think.  Really good for the price. Nellie likes it. Leo doesn't like it.

  September 13, 2023 - We kind of knew what to expect, and to its credit it over delivers what we expected. The nose has quite a bit of oak, but also some authentic cherry and mulberry backed up with cinnamon and leather. Not necessarily complex, but also relatively polished in a California fruit forward style. Fairly luscious in the mouth. Nice balance of acid, tannin and alcohol. Maybe a touch syrupy.
