February 21, 2009 - Drank this at Tasca wine bar in LA, a great tapas bar. Dark purple color had initial nose of vanillin and cookie dough which I don't like in my reds. That blew off then it screamed of blueberry pie. Drank well with a variety of heavier foods including steak, black sausage and a plate of chicken, liver and pork pâtés. Chewy but not over the top at all.

September 17, 2008 - Best wine yet of our south american run. Still many more days to go though. Bold plum color - nice nose but slightly restrained - plum and berry with a great hint of cumin seeds. Fair mouthfeel and finish.

June 3, 2008 - This is an entry level for premium catenas wines. Was Plum red with violets notes. Sweet and green pepper notes with black fruits and some almonds. is a medium body wine with good bitter note. astringent well balanced with intense retrotaste. is a just wine.
