  Nose shows tropical fruits, white flowers and wet rocks. On the palate this is very fruit driven with mandarin orange, lychee, and white peach over some limestone. It's got a richness to it and I wish it had a little more acid but as a Spätlese it seems appropriate with a little RS.
  
  Enjoyed especially given the price point of low 20's.

I know that doesn't make sense, but this wine shows the richness of the modern era that seems to have since shifted, so that's where the old school comes in. There's a lot of fruit here, as well as a fair dose of the 2021 vintage acidity, but it's not a lightning bolt like some 2021 wines. I think this may very well have a long aging window.

  November 16, 2023 - Very nice. Less thrilling than the Steinmetz served beside it, but this has a very long and enjoyable life ahead of it.
