June 28, 2011 - After aeration, held up well against spicy Chinese food. A fair amount of complexity, but all of the flavors don't fully integrate, and a touch woody.

December 20, 2010 - A nice tempranillo with luscious fruit expression, and a nice terroir background.
Very good with food or for a med-full bodied quaffing experience. Good value for the money.

August 19, 2010 - Opened-up for several hours and paired with truffle flat bread. Dark ink with medium viscosity in the glass. Nose and a half with smoke, cherry skin, dark fruit, cedar, tar, flowers and herbs. Some licorice, hide, pencil lead and bacon too. Palette is the nose redux and smoothly balanced with earth, coffee and pleasant structure from the acidity. Mouth puckering grip from tannin. Long finish. Not much in the way of taking any interesting turns or being savory…just a nicely made and structured wine.

July 13, 2009 - This is definitely NOT a pop and pour wine. This needs time in decanter or you'll be plucking splinters out of your tongue for a week. WOW! Never quite noticed how woody this was until now. Perhaps because it comes on the heals of a tamer merlot?

In either case, I've enjoyed many bottles of this wine. Definitely a solid QPR, just remember to decant/aerate. Enjoy.

May 7, 2009 - Great qpr wine. Consistent with previous bottles.

(Arzuaga Pago Florentino) #3; VaynerPAZZZZZZZ; COLOR-dark; NOSE-a huuuuuge Oak Monster attack; some creamy berry action; TASTE-medicine-y; extracted; ton of Oak (Vanilla & Cedar); hard to taste the fruit; many like this style, but not for me; the most over-oaked wine in WLTV history; JM-89; GV-55
