  July 30, 2023 - Decanted one hour.
  
  Light aromas of cherry, sun-dried tomato and balsamic. Deep ruby, slightly translucent in the glass. Leggy from the viscosity. Spicy medium acidity, chalky medium tannins, sour cherries on the palate. Dry. A little clove on the nose now. Medium body and finish. An easy-drinking if tart Sangiovese blend (the Bacci site indicates Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon). Did not have with food.

  March 26, 2023 - My wife and I live next to a massive Total Wine in Delaware which is a state that has no sales tax. This store is like a tractor beam for the wider Philadelphia region so naturally it is a very large store. They just expanded it and nearly doubled the size. Anyway, I say this because it's like the Walmart of Wine that is a stones throw away, so we go there frequently enough to sample all the cheap stuff in a seemingly futile effort to find a good everyday bottle of wine that will not bust our bank account. This bottle was on sale for $14 so we figured why not give it a whirl. I just asked my wife what she thought and her reply was "I don't want to drink it again." I have to concur. It smelled like my grandmother's perfume, although it didn't taste nearly as noxious. There's no body, little acid, and a wall of tannins. Don't fall for the Total Wine sale items because there's a reason they're on sale (that's a note for myself as much as for anyone else reading this).

  February 15, 2023 - Inviting nose of plum and red fruits, cinnamon and hints of oak. Fruit tastes of red plum, tart red fruits, and red apple on the finish. Medium bodied, firm tannins.
