  April 29, 2024 - Instantly recognizable as Rioja. American oak, cherries, brown sugar on the nose. A little of the Rioja bubblegum thing on the palate, with ripe red fruits. Somewhat disjointed on the midpalate though, with a little alcoholic heat poking through. Not bad but there are better options in Rioja at this price point.

  July 22, 2023 - Fruit and a lot of oak on the nose. Vanilla, oak branch, red currant, red cherries, and black chokeberry. Very nice on the palate: high-ish tannin and body but also medium acidity which makes it very drinkable. Palate confirms the nose and finish is a little bitter with a touch of smoke.
  Very justifiable step-up in quality from the Crianza.
