April 7, 2024 - By the glass. Umpteenth bottle of Assyrtiko from the Island of Santorini. Shy wine on the nose with very simple citrus traces. Elusive mineral aromas in the background. Oily texture on the palate with a balanced acidity and a spicy yeast finish. Typical elaboration for tourists according to my particular taste.

July 22, 2023 - Violets (weird note for a white), daffodils, orange peel, lemon juice, ripe sweet melon, sea spray and wet stone on nose. Perfectly balanced between fruit and non-fruit aromas. The palate tips the balance in favor of the non-fruit side with flavors of salt and brine, and a sort of chlorine water on the finish. The fruit is still there, just in the background, and some tropical fruit flavors (mostly pineapple) are added. Intensity of both flavors and aromas is medium +.

Medium body with medium + acid. Length of the finish is only medium; but overall well balanced with interesting flavors. Definitely meant to drink now, I don't see any reason to age it. Great pairing with Spanikoptia.
