January 10, 2023 - Colour: medium ruby
Nose: medium(+) intensity, secondary, youthful. Sour cherry, strawberry, raspberry, pomegranate, cranberry. Cherry syrup. Touch of beetroot. Cedar, nutmeg, cinnamon, bitter cocoa.
Palate: dry, medium(+) acidity, medium(-) tannins, medium alcohol (13,5%), medium(-) bodied. Medium intensity, medium(+) length finish. Sour cherry, strawberry, raspberry, pomegranate, cranberry. Cherry syrup. Touch of beetroot. Cedar, nutmeg, cinnamon, bitter cocoa. Touch of cough syrup on the finish.
Conclusions: very good -- actually better than I remember from tasting at the winery. Perhaps one of the better Pinot Noirs from Alto Adige I've tried. Can drink now, but suited to further ageing.
