April 19, 2024 - Stunned by how much the nose is reminiscent of an Oregon Pinot circa 2017.
On the darker complected fruit side of the Pinot persuasion, the soil and herbal notes run roughshod over the fruit notes on the nose. Still, it is an incredibly intriguing nose that keeps inviting further inspection.
Over the course of a couple of hours the wine unfurls magnificently.
Blue fruits, tea notes, herbal notes, good acid, balanced tannins, and a decently long finish.
Tasty and fun, able to be enjoyed on its own as a pleasing drink, or something worth navel gazing for a while.
