December 16, 2020 - Fairly consistent notes; dusty cinnamon spice, deep red fruits, roses, truffle and a soil character/sous bois that comes out to play as this opens up and gains width. soy-like texture wit a bit of beef stock coming through on the midpalate. Slightly drying finish, with tannins that make never integrated with the aging fruit. who knows. Very enjoyable!

August 2, 2020 - Clove and white pepper; earthy, soil-inflected; root vegetables. Almost too perky acidity hinting at volatility; new cork indicates late bottling or restoration(?). Likely needs some further bottle time. Will keep my lone bottle for at least 3 years.

August 2, 2020 - I've tasted this a few times now but with no formal notes, per se. An emphasis on baking spice, beetroot type aromas with antique furniture scents mixed with aging red cherry. This does show some of the spiciness of Vosne even in the mouth and while not quite the intensnity or focus behind it, this shows a charming expression that should age well over the next few years+. More in keeping with the first bottle tasted as the tannins are fine, though the flavors on the midpalate are bit lean and abrupt.

March 7, 2014 - a pretty nose of clove, tea, brown baking spices with just a touch of cinnamon. Velvety in structure and fine-grained but ends with a touch of green, unresolved tannin. Very little interest in the midpalate. Opens up a bit tart and foursquare. Legitamate structure for Vosne

November 21, 2010 - Tasted at the Burgundy Tutored Tasting - Gourmet Food and Wine Show, 2010. Colour - Lightish red, roseish red. Nose - nice age, abit raisiny. Some meat. Palette - Suprising acidity for a wine of this age. Not as fruity as indicated in the nose. But abit more depth to the fruit than the Remoissenet Pommard Epenots 1995. Abit more body, but still light. I have now tasted 3 Remoissenet and I have yet to find one that impresses me. Coates confirms this; there are definitely a number of better negotiants and domaines than Remoissenet. I find both Drouhin and Potel to offer consistently better wines than Remoissenet; from my tasting thus far. Low QPR at a high LCBO price of $189.
