February 19, 2002 - Ruby red color. Smoky cherry and red currant on the nose. Medium body with overwhelming cherry flavor and maybe some leather. Decent finish with an odd bitter taste at the end. Not sure how to characterize this. Decent acidity but wouldn't hold this one too long. It needed time to open up. After 30 min in decanter it was a different and improved wine. ~$20.
