Community Tasting Notes 3

March 13, 2017 - Amazingly fresh given that it's 40 years old. Appropriately sweet; not a sugar bomb. Brown tinge, but much less than equal age ports from Portugal that I've had. Little Sediment.
The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.

October 3, 2013 - smooth, good sweetness/acid balance. more tawny in flavor profile, but certainly not dead. raisin, fig, nuts. a fun, quirky gamble that turned out pretty good.

June 17, 2012 - 35th Anniversary Party Cellar Tasting; 6/16/2012-6/17/2012 (Rich & Dana's): Notes of raisins, raspberry liqueur and boysenberry. Somewhat sweet and cough syrupy, but not overly so. Ends with plum and red fruit qualities. 83-84 pts.
