Community Tasting Notes 5

April 10, 2024 - 90-91. Just a normal Bourgogne, red fruit, plums, some spices, simple and easy drinking, not much depth or finish.

March 25, 2024 - Don’t really get the other notes. Very primary still but very good for a BR. Definitely one of the best out there. Red berries, red cherry, florals, some spice and nice acidity. Give it a few years.

January 6, 2024 - Raspberries, red cherries and cranberries on the nose. Also green herbs, but in a good way to give some complexity. With air a beautiful tone of red violets also emerges. This is a much more structured and classic wine compared to the 2020-vintage. Personally I prefer this style. Medium plus acidity and medium length. Good effort for a BR.

November 10, 2023 - This pours pale ruby with hints of pink. The nose is fairly simple and straightforward showing cranberry, raspberry, green leaf, crushed rock, and a touch of sawdust. The palate is light and lean with significant tart cranberry character on the mid-palate. Tannin is medium minus with medium plus tart acid. The finish fizzles out a tad short with some green leafy character rounding things out. Overall, I had expected more. While light, elegant and red fruited, which are pluses for me. There is no complexity to speak of here, not event nascent hints of it. I could see age improving this, but at the moment there isn't much here to draw that assertion from.

September 29, 2023 - Quite dark fruited an£ reasonably dense, certainly more substance than I was expecting for the vintage. Some dark gloss needing a shake. Didn’t really get a chance to open up before the bottle was emptied. ***
