  September 29, 2023 - No formal notes taken, but enjoyed, on the rustic side, but quite good. Works well with a variety of foods, meats, and cheeses. Will try to keep one of these on hand. Interesting this isn't released until it has some bottle age. Negromaro grape, a decent grape when done well.

  April 14, 2023 - Last had the 2010, this 2013 is nearly equally as good. licorice and black currant on the front, mature tannins but still a nice long finish. decanted for 4 hours

  March 15, 2023 - Popped and poured. Aroma of red fruit and allspice. Clean but edgy flavors of cherry and loam. Herbal finish. Firm backbone, some complexity, earthy. I always love this wine, but this vintage is a step above. Great QPR.

  February 16, 2023 - On the heels of the 2011, the 2013 is very similar. Cork was one of the lightest stained corks I ever encountered, almost lavender. This negroamaro grape is very fruity. Very worth it, and if you've not tried this, give it a shot. Betting won't be disappointed. Ready now and over the next 3-5 years. Great qpr but not rating in the stratosphere, as a CT reviewer made sense in his argument not to be swayed by cost into giving possible inflated rating. But very fruity and deserving of my 90 rating.
