March 20, 2024 - Tasted at the Barolo and Barbaresco World Opening, NYC. Great wine that is putting on some heft and structure, likely before shutting down. When I last tasted this wine it was recently bottled and was more fruit forward than it seems now. Big tannin and acid structure will allow a very long aging. Great freshness and wonderful balance. Bright cherry fruit with tar, roses and then some orange peel on the finish.

December 12, 2023 - tasted at the winery with Enzo. medium to darker garnet with a nose of dried rose, cherry and just a hint of mint. on the palate there is unmistakable Cannubi fruit. Bright cherry and red berry along with menthol, and tobacco. wonderful balance of acids and fine grained tannins. a wine that comes across as being made with great precision and purity. Elegant. Will be drinkable in 10 years but will age effortlessly. Should sell for twice this price point. Hard to believe this traditional producer is still flying under the radar. This is what great Barolo is all about...............

November 12, 2023 - This is another surprisingly drinkable young Barolo. It does have decent structure with good acidity abs some very polished tannins. The nose is all roses and red cherry fruit with a hint of menthol/ mint. PnP this was soft, brightly fruited and long with a nice licorice note on the finish. With an hour of air it actually got a bit more tannic. But still eminently drinkable. Should be really delicious for decades.

November 2, 2023 - Very perfumed, with notes of menthol, plum, some violets, also some tobacco, there is a beautiful balance of everything. It‘s medium-full bodied but a little lighter than some of the other wines, with medium-high tannin and pretty high acidity. Medium finish. A little less complex than some of the others but very good QPR.

October 13, 2023 - Short note. More fruit, fuller than the castellero, some balsam notes already, great structure, tannins fully coated with sweet fruit. Great potential.
