Community Tasting Notes 4

  • PacoHigon Likes this wine:

April 28, 2024 - Ensamblaje de Marsanne y Roussanne. Amarillo brillante.

April 16, 2024 - 2021 is quite a persuasive vintage for Gonon's Les Oliviers, offering up of peach and elderflowers mingled with waxy lemon and olive brine, followed by a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping palate that marries this cuvée's characteristic texture with uncommon cut and delineation.

January 18, 2024 - Ultra fresh, not typical Rhone. Balanced and subtle.

November 9, 2023 - The nose is slightly reductive upon opening, but it quickly perishes. Honey, quince, earl grey tea, bees wax and white tropical fruits. Rosemary appears as well. Smells like Cantillon’s Fou Foune apricot lambic!
The mouth opens with bees wax, honey, and elderflower. The body is dense, pineapple and peaches. Creamy, oily. A restrained acidity and bitterness keep the southern fireworks in check. Lovely, lovely, lovely.
