September 18, 2022 - pretty ripe, even surmature. not a lot of structure here. label says 13.5% but i suspect higher. I bought this recently; if I had been holding it for 2+ decades I would probably be grumbling harder

February 3, 2021 - Forgot about this case, and was afraid it was past its prime. But patience was rewarded, and I’m looking forward to drinking the others over the next two years.

Initial nose had secondary characteristics, with a chocolate overlay. High acidity at first, but opened over two hours. Fun surprise.

May 12, 2013 - Dinner at Cru, Oslo

    Ap: dark purple
Ar: dark fruits, spices, oak, chocolate
Full bodied and pretty extracted. Integrated tannins.
    Good length

Huge variations of the ratings for the Dofi. This bottle was in good shape.

February 23, 2010 - From magnum. Lush, open nose of dark fruits but palate was incredibly shut down by dry tannins.
